While the end of the semester brings joy to many, it also brings lots and lots of stress.  This is when all the final papers are due, all the final projects, all the presentations and then you have to start studying for finals.  This is when I lose a lot of sleep (like I’m doing right now) and I forget to eat my usual two meals a day.  I have two papers due on Friday and if I still had physics lab tomorrow I don’t know how I would be able to get them finished.  I still have two more pages to write for one and then do the entire 5 page assignment after that.  I have a feeling it is going to be a long night tomorrow : (.  At least when I finally finish sometime early Friday morning, I can just go to my three classes in a row (ugh!) and then sleep the rest of the day.  Then, I have my SigEp Semi-Formal Friday night with my girlfriend to relax and enjoy myself.  But, the week will start over again and more assignments and studying will need to be done.  It will be nice to finally go home and not worry about any work to do…until I have to start my job.  At least there’s no homework involved.  Oh well, time to concentrate extra hard and just get it done!

If you haven’t at least tried this game you definitely need to.  It pulls the most power out of the PS3 that we have seen so far and the results are amazing.  The graphics are lifelike with full facial animation and cool blood effects as well and even the lighting manages to beat out rival Xbox 360 titles.  The AI has been tuned to think and react quickly and even plan ahead and levels can be very challenging, but never too much (especially with your teammates giving you hints if you get stuck).  The sound is superb and the online multiplayer never takes a break (literally, each new game mode starts right after the previous one ends without sending you back to a lobby screen each time).  The only thing missing from this killer title is local multiplayer (you are stuck playing by yourself with bots if you can’t get online) and no co-op for the campaign.  Even with these downfalls this game is a must have!

Hurley going over time travel

I thought it was hilarious in last night’s episode when Miles was trying to explain to Hurley the rules of time travel on the island.  The writers were obviously having fun with us this time.  Hurley was the viewers and Miles was the writers.  I love how Hurley had so many different theories on what would happen because of Ben being shot, but what was most amusing was the idea that they (the Flight 815′ers) would now just start to disappear because Ben was the reason they were all back on the island.  All of Hurley’s different ideas are what many viewer’s thought were the rules of time travel.  The disappearing act was actually discussed as a viable option and I like how Miles immediately thought Hurley was a dumb ass for thinking that would be possible.  On another note, I can’t wait for next episode!  This one was good, but there was a lot of fluff and not enough meat.  However, the previews for next week look like it would be an action-packed episode that will delve back into the mythos of the island.  We will finally be learning about “The Temple.”  As usual, can’t wait for next wednesday! Later.
